Strange Trend of Alabama High School Names Being Changed to Teen Slang and Meme References On Google

My son came home from school yesterday swearing up and down the name of his school had been changed to "Fort Payne P. Diddy's Bunker" on Google. His source: A friend of his. I checked, and it was normal, so I was skeptical and told him someone was probably pulling his leg. But no! This morning, the name of the school changed again, this time to "Fort Payne Diddy's Baby Oil."

My son came downstairs and said, "Mom, you've got to go to google and search for 'Southside High School, Selma, Alabama," and so I did, and sure enough... "Southsigma Diddy Hawk TUAH High." How lovely.

Since then, the name of Fort Payne High School has been changed several times, all with unfortunate references to Sean Combs.

My guess is that kids are enlisting groups of their friends to spam the "Suggest an Edit" feature on Google with this Gen Y / Gen Alpha slang and memey references to current events, although why a bunch of middle- and high-schoolers regard the middle-aged rapper of many name-changes as relevant is beyond me. We are trying to figure out whether the phenomenon is confined to Alabama or is going on in other states, although with how fast these trends travel among teens these days it would not surprise me if it blows up all over the country before it fizzles out like a rumor about kids eating Tide pods. So far the only way news of which High Schools have experienced humorous name changes has been travelling is through teens texting one another to google the names of certain high schools, so it's difficult to keep an eye out for where this is going on.

If you find other Google high school name changes that I haven't mentioned here, tell me about them in the comments!
